Last updated: 07 September 2026

The Open Word (ABN 62 664 629 814) respects your privacy and handles your personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect. Your name, contact details, postal address and order information when you buy a book, sign up to our newsletter, contact us, or support a crowdfunding campaign. We only collect sensitive information, such as details about your faith, if you offer it voluntarily, for example in a testimonial.

How we use it. To process orders, respond to enquiries, fulfil crowdfunding rewards, coordinate with churches, schools and distribution partners, and send updates you've opted in to receive, such as news about our upcoming Romans volume.

Who we share it with. We don't sell your information. We share it only where needed to run our business: our website host and store platform (Wix), and Kickstarter, for campaign fulfilment. Both of these are based in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed there.

Cookies. Our website uses cookies to remember preferences and understand how the site is used. You can disable these in your browser.

Marketing. We only email you if you've opted in, and you can unsubscribe anytime.

Children. The Epistles for Kids is written for children, but our website is for parents, carers and educators. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security and your rights. We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure. You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us below.

Complaints. Contact us first. If unresolved, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

We may update this policy from time to time; changes will appear on this page.
